Maryam brings over a decade of direct clinical and research experience working with children. As a practising psychologist, she spent nearly seven years in assessment and rehabilitation of children with learning disabilities and autism. Her current research at the University of Minnesota focuses on neuroimaging and neurodevelopmental conditions in pediatric populations, work that directly informs how WizeGen frames cognitive vulnerability and risk recognition in children aged 8 to 15. Her earlier postdoctoral work at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology broadened her understanding of how assistive technologies interact with child development, a perspective she brings to how WizeGen designs its learning scenarios.
